Case Study

British Logo Design was commissioned to design a logo, stationery and website for Kilbride Consulting. Kilbride Consulting run a tax consulting business and wanted a logo that looked professional and modern. They wanted their logo to be purple and gave a list of logos they liked from our portfolio as well as other companies.

Step 1 - Initial Designs

After the order was placed and design specifications received, five members from our dedicated custom logo design team were consulted by the client's account manager and given the specifications. They then each produced a minimum of two custom logo designs each and came up with the below initial set of designs for the client to view and give feedback. Client's comments can be seen below logos.

Client comments:
We are very pleased with the first draft.
In terms of the symbols we like, they are logos 2, 6 and 12
The text colours we like are definitely the purple from logo 2 with the grey from logo 9 (for Consulting)
We also like the font from logo 9
In terms of logo development, I think 6 is a strong contender but the K needs to be softer
We also like the colour combinations of the symbol in logo 2
Might also be interesting to go for the 3d effect in that logo also
So basically it’s the text from logo9 using the purple from logo2
With this we need to develop and play around with symbols 2,6,12 using the same mixed colour palette
Hope that helps. Really looking forward to next draft.

Step 2 - Revised designs

With the feedback given in step 1 our logo design team follow client's instructions and produce a second set for the client to view and give feedback. Client's comments can be seen below logos.

Kilbride Consulting Revised Logo Designs

Looks like a slightly modified version of logo 6 is the winner
I think the “ball” over the K is a little distracting so please remove. I am then happy  to confirm it is my final logo and require no further changes.

Please note that not all logo designs end this quickly and it is British Logo Design's promise to keep designing and making revisions until you are 100% satisfied with your logo.

Step 3 - Business Card Designs and Corporate Identity

Once the logo is complete (and if included in your package) British Logo Design will move on to the stationery design. Initially we design four double sided Business Cards produced by two members of our dedicated print media team and ask for feedback/approval. Once the Business Card is finalised we base the Letterhead and Compliment Slip on it so everything matches. The image below shows all finalised stationery that client chose after a couple of revisions. We have distorted the contact details to protect our client's privacy.

Step 4 - Website Design

Kilbride Consulting then chose us to complete a simple 5 page website. After designing 3 initial home pages and making some adjustments we built the website and made it live on the internet. You can see a screen shot below or vist their website at www.kctax.ie
